Seesaw House

Santa Monica | In Design

A new 3,500 square foot two-story home with an accessory building and swimming pool.

The design is conceived as three wood boxes with sloped roofs that are strategically located to allow for generous light into the basement below.

The volumes are punctuated by heavy wood fins and rest on a series of brick boxes defining generous openings on the first floor.

The home is being designed to be net-zero energy by employing a variety of passive and active systems.
